Four Free Kids Activities in the Nashville Area
Whether you're new to Middle Tennessee or you've been here for years and haven't gotten out much, it's time to get out and explore some of the FREE options for kids in your area. Of course there are way more than just the four you see here, but this will get you started and get your wheels turning as you look for more adventure this summer.

Recently rated as the 5th most incredible children's library in the world-yes, the world-the Brentwood Library has free fun for all ages, but the children's area is especially appealing. Besides the magical-looking area that is set aside for finding books and hearing stories, the calendar is full of events to enjoy all year round. Check it out here!
Port Royal Park

Sure, the water hose is a great, free way to cool off in the summer, but why not take it up a notch and head out to a park that's dedicated to streams of water for running around? You can also enjoy an adjacent playground, covered pavilions, and a ½ mile trail. See pics and more info here!

Warner Park Nature Center

Open Tues.-Sat. 9-4
Sitting in 2,684 acres of the Warner Parks, this nature center has a lot to offer. Free programs for kids 6-12 take place every Wednesday at 10 a.m. and Friday Nights include fun activities for families in the great outdoors. Stop by at any time to walk through the nature center for hands-on learning. There's even a great creek and dirt playground for play time just outside the building.
